I am so pissed off right now!!!!!!!!!!!! 30 minutes ago at my last period of school the principal came to our class and talked to us about missbehavior and stuff like that. She wouldn’t stop staring at me. I covered my eyebrow piercing with my hair and after she finished her speech she told me to get out of class cuz she wanted to talk with me. I did it and then she told me to take out my piercing and give it to her. What else could I have done? I gave it to her and she said: I am gonna be watching you very closely, if you want it back I will have to talk to your mom”. I wanted to explode! I came home and replaced that piercing with another one I have. I am not going to take it off permanently, do you have any advice of what should i do? i like it and i am NOT going to let it heal. My mom already knows this, but she doesnt want to get involved in my problems.
Weezy: You have a very good spirit and a strong sense of personal justice and these are very good qualities. HOWEVER, if your school has a dress code, then that is that, and if we want to get along in life, we have to find a way to be our own people, but still comply with the laws of the land.
You are not rolling over and sacrificing your personality if you adhere to a dress code. You are simply agreeing to do what is required of you in a certain setting. You can’t wear pajamas to school either and so you don’t.
Put your eyebrow ring back in when you come home and on weekends and take it out for school. I know you are angry and you feel violated. But trust me, you have more important battles to fight, in your life, than this one.
