Question from Sarah The Confused

Ok so the guy I like was in my Spanish class last year. In spanish class we played a game to help us practice our numbers in spanish. So you went up to people in the class and gave them your phone number, then they had to ask you for yours, all in Spanish. It could be a real phone number or some made up one. Well the guy I like, let’s call him John, came up to me and we sealed numbers of whatever. And he was like, you will never know if it’s my number unless you call it. So I was like, whatever. John has a girlfriend named Lacie. I called the number a couple weeks later and based on his voicemail it was his number. I didn’t leave a message or anything and he never called me. That year we became pretty good friends but then at the end of the year we didn’t talk anymore. I don’t know why. That was in 6th grade. Now I’m in 7th grade and he is still dating Lacie and I still like him. He is in none of my classes so we never talk or see each other. On Thursday, Lacie broke up with him after a year and a half of dating each other. I want to text John, but think it would be weird to be like “oh hi its Sarah. found your number in my Spanish notebook from last year, what’s up?” I mean that would be weird, I think. What should I do? Why do you think he gave me his number in 6th grade like that? What does it mean? How should I approach starting to text him since he probably doesn’t remember giving me his number. Idk what to do. Let me know if any of this is unclear.

Weezy: It’s all very perfectly clear. I have a sneaky idea. Why don’t you “accidentally” text him something you would text a friend, like: “Hey, what time is basketball?” He’ll text back, “Huh?” And then you can say, “Oops, my bad. Your number was in my phone “en espanol” from 6th grade. I meant to text, Tiffany. Anyway, how are you? I never see you this year?”

Are you bold enough to try it? I say, why not?
